Special 400th Anniversary Trophy

For the occasion of Québec City’s 400th anniversary and to honour this celebration in our own way, the Loto-Québec International Fireworks Competition has asked the competing teams to put on a display based on a musical piece inspired by the 400th anniversary’s theme song.

Spectators should vote within 48 hours of the show on our website, where they may give ratings for each performance.

The special 400th anniversary trophy has been awarded to: the United States team, as represented by the company Western Enterprises.

"Coup de coeur du public - National Bank Financial Group"

In the 48 hours following each performance, spectators voted for their coup de coeur by visiting the Loto-Québec International Fireworks Competition website at www.quebecfireworks.com. They told us how they felt by saying whether they liked the show a little, a lot, or absolutely. Some of the participants got prizes given at random, $15,000 in prizes. A trophy was awarded to the fireworks team who  received the most "absolutely" votes. This took place at the Grand Finale on August 12, 2009.

The winner was Italy represented by the firm A. P. E. di Parente Romualdo. Conception made by Mrs. Michele Parente, named « Melodia di fuoco sul lago ».
